Pot or Pan- Le Creuset

Single-handedly the best cookware you can buy. First off, the only con: yes, it is pricey. But once you buy a saute pan or (dramatically pausing for comedic value) a dutch oven, you will never need another one ever again.

Normally, there are three different kinds of cookware for the stovetop: Aluminum, Steel, and Cast Iron (and titanium or copper or some alloy made out of some douches’ lacrosse stick if you order it off Sky Mall). They all have their pros and cons but Le Creuset kind of combines them all.

It gets hot fast, doesn’t react to foods, is durable in the oven, and you can turn the burner off and it won’t retain the heat that will burn your food. It’s like magic. It’s heavy. It’s durable. And it comes in a variety of colors that will NOT transform your kitchen into an Ina-Garten-cancer-hating menagerie.

I have a handful of these pieces and I haven’t found anything that I can’t cook in them.
